Eat
There are several restaurants to check out at the Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island in Fort Walton Beach, FL. Be sure to stop by Rockin Tacos and The Crab Trap. These tacos are huge and really amazing! They were actually one of our very first eatery experiences when we arrived in Florida and they did not disappoint!
Shop
There are several awesome shops at the Boardwalk. Check out Surfside Outfitters, Kitty Hawk Kites, and Islanders Coastal Outfitters. These are great places to buy any last minute apparel or souvenirs before you head home!

Hang out at the Beach
If you have a little more time, head down to the beach. Take a walk on the water and relax for a bit the the most gorgeous beaches Florida has to offer.
The Pier
Head over to the pier! If you’re not planning to fish, you can walk the pier for only $2 per person (totally worth it!) You can see all kinds of marine life from the pier including sharks and dolphins.
The Gulfarium by the Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island
Just past the pier, you’ll find the Gulfarium! This is the perfect way to spend a day (or even just a few hours). They have tons of marine life and great shows to watch and learn about all the the animals at the aquarium.
