Take the kids to Henderson Beach State Park for a day you’ll never forget. This state park has a $6 entrance fee and is worth every penny! You’ll enjoy the easy and plentiful parking, the showers to rinse off all the sand and the pavilions for lunchtime. They even have real bathrooms! This park also has convenient boardwalks to get your family to the water easily.
Buccanear Pirate Cruise
This vessel looks like a real pirate ship which will have the kids (and husband) excited before you even get there! The crew will entertain your family with pirate jargon and pass-times for almost two hours. This is the perfect and unforgetable experience you definitely won’t forget you did with your kids in Destin.
Eat up!
Lulu’s is the perfect restaurant on the beach to go to with your kids. They have an arcade to entertain the family while you wait for a table but if your kids tend to have a short attention span, you can head outside in the sand and watch an airplane take off and land on the water – right from the restaurant!
Feed the Alligators
You can also head over to Fudpuckers where you can feed the alligators. They even have an albino alligator under the restaurant that your family can see. You don’t have to eat at the restaurant to experience this part of Destin!
